As the center for culture and arts in Northern Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro will play host to JOVIT BALDIVINO Live back to back with Markki Stroem, Erwin Baguion, and EZRA Band in Cagayan de Oro on Saturday, July 2nd, 2011, 8pm at The Atrium of Limketkai Center. Together with the Manny Pacquiao Band as backline musicians, Pilipinas Got Talent concert show will surely be a musical celebration for the entire family.

Multi-awarded Richard Poon is known as the Philippines’ Big-Band Crooner with a unique talent to turn “standards” popularized by Frank Sinatra, Matt Monroe, Paul Anka and Nat King Cole in the 1950s into fresh-sounding crossover hits popular with both the young and old.

Amazingly, he also has the ability to give a fresh sound to current hits with his covers of Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated,” Chaka Khan’s “Through the Fire”, Florida/T-Pain’s “Low”, Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” and “Irreplaceable”, Rhianna’s “Umbrella”, Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girls”, Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours”, and most recently, Lady Gaga’s “Pokerface” and the Korean Wondergirl’s mega hit “Nobody”.

Born December 8, 1981 in Makati City, Richard inherited his love of music from mother Eva Huang, a famous opera singer in Taiwan and his culinary chops from his dad Robert Poon, the culinary genius behind the 30-year old Chinese restaurant “Mr. Poon.” RP owns “Little Poon” which specializes in Oriental food.
